Dr Angela Wong is a skilled general anaesthetist providing expert care in Melbourne’s south-eastern region. With extensive experience across major metropolitan hospitals, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her practice.
After graduating from Monash University, she trained at some of Melbourne’s most prestigious institutions, including Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, and The Royal Children’s Hospital. She now holds a consultant position at Monash Health.
Beyond her General Anaesthesia Fellowship at Monash Health, she has pursued further subspecialty training in obstetric anaesthesia (Mercy Hospital for Women) and paediatric anaesthesia (The Royal Children’s Hospital), ensuring comprehensive expertise across patient populations.
Conversational in Mandarin, Malay, Indonesian, Hokkien and Foochow, she bridges language barriers to deliver compassionate, efficient care to diverse communities.
Dr. Wong believes that exceptional anaesthetic care is never one-size-fits-all. She takes time to understand each patient’s unique needs, whether physical, emotional, or cultural, before surgery. This personalised approach ensures not just safety, but also a smoother, more reassuring experience on the day of their procedure.
Outside medicine, Angela enjoys cooking, DIY home projects, and optimising everyday systems – skills that reflect her problem-solving mindset. She balances her career with raising two active children.
